Free Events on the Red Line Parkway Promoting Healthy Living for Older Adults

The Red Line Parkway Initiative is thrilled to announce a series of free events on the Parkway this fall, in partnership with AARP and local yoga and tai chi instructors. We can’t wait to enjoy the most beautiful season of the year with free outdoor programming geared toward older adults.

Trails and parkways are the lifelines that connect communities, providing a sustainable and accessible transportation alternative for all. “Bring a friend and come out to the Parkway to see how you can use and enjoy the trail that exists today, and imagine what is to come in the years ahead," says Tom Wald, Executive Director of the Red Line Parkway Initiative.

The Red Line Parkway is a 32+ mile linear park and public space connecting from Downtown Austin to Cedar Park to Leander. The Red Line Parkway Initiative unites partners and communities to successfully plan, fund, build, and activate a celebrated Parkway that will be enjoyed for generations.
