The Red Line Parkway is an ambitious vision and a group effort. Take a look below for how you can help this week!
Hancock-Cherrywood Vision Initiative this Wednesday, March 26th
Help shape the Red Line Parkway and a regional center this Wednesday, March 26th 6-8pm at Austin Energy in Mueller. Attend the Hancock-Cherrywood Vision open house to speak up for the Red Line Parkway and for what you want to see in this greater area. Learn more and RSVP here. Your participation this week will help shape the Red Line Parkway in perpetuity.
[Update 3/31/25: The event was well-attended with over 100 participants. On Friday, the initial presentation revealed a Red Line Parkway as a proposed greenbelt along the Red Line railroad tracks. Though the results are non-binding, this bodes well for the Red Line Parkway. Look for further design results to be released over the coming weeks and months.]

More Public Input Opportunities
Here are a few more current public input opportunities to help shape the Red Line Parkway, plus nearby and regional trails
- We routinely work with neighborhood associations and community groups along the Red Line Parkway corridor to reserve space and construct the Red Line Parkway. If you aren't already involved with your neighborhood association and want to volunteer your time to help our work, please send us an email and we'll help connect you with your neighborhood association.
- Help shape artwork along Airport Blvd. from 46th to 55th, including the Red Line Parkway. Local artist Liza Fishbone is seeking your input in this survey.
- If you haven't already, show your support for the I-35 caps funding by sending an email to Austin City Council Members. Council will decide in May whether or not to provide the initial funding to future-proof the caps and stitches. Learn more about the caps and stitches from the City of Austin's Our Future 35 program. Two of the caps will provide land bridges over I-35 for the Red Line Parkway, helping to provide respite from car traffic and create a place to be. You can also sign up for additional alerts from our coalition partners at FUNDtheCAPS.com.
- Learn more and provide feedback on the I-35 CapEx Central Project from Holly Street to Ben White this Wednesday at 6pm. (This meeting conflicts with the Hancock-Cherrywood Vision Open House noted above.) This part of the I-35 project is near the Red Line Parkway and will shape how people access the Parkway. More info on the meeting from TxDOT here. You can also read an overview of this project here.
- Parks funding is one source that helps buy land and pay for constructing the Red Line Parkway. Help shape the future of parks funding with this questionnaire from the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department.
More Updates on the Red Line Parkway
